I've not been able to post for a while as I've been unwell and sadly I've not made a single macaron:(
But, today I discovered a little box of REAL French macarons in the freezer section of Costco imported from France - a lovely surprise.

Cute packaging |
4 flavours |
2 individual sealed packs |
Texture was ok |
A tad small and could have had more filling but nonetheless perfect for a tea party! |
Hello darling.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to email you. How can I do this?
Hi Lorenzo - I sent you an email to the address that you posted but maybe you didn't receive it. Anyway, you can contact me at ladymacaron20ten@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteThank you! I recieved your email.
ReplyDeleteHey there! Hope you feel better soon so you can make more of your glorious macarons for MacTweets. Those Costco macs sound interesting--were they expensive? Take care!
ReplyDeleteThanks hicookery - starting to feel a bit better now but just need to take it easy. The Costco macs were $16.49 AUD for a box of 24 but they were miniature. I was hesitate to buy them because of the cost but curiosity got the better of me. I still think between yours and mine ours are better!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you're not well. Frozen macarons? Wow, I would have never thought......
ReplyDeleteHi Julia
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for leaving me a comment... you made my day:) I was somewhat surprised to find frozen macarons too... goes to show just how popular they are. Hopefully, I'll feel well enough to post another macaron recipe next week.
Best wishes
Karen
I've tried supermarket macarons, they are just not the same thing after you've tasted the good stuff. That being said, I adore costco!
